Barrage Luxembourg’s entry for Oscars 2018 The local selection commitee has indeed chosen Barrage to represent Luxembourg in the race for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars 2018. Great news!
After its release in France and Luxembourg (still showing in some cinemas!), Barrage will have its UK premiere on Septembre 25th within Raindance Film Festival in London.
Octobre is very busy, with screenings at the Molodist Film Festival in Kiev, the Mumbai International Film Festival in India and the International Fine Arts Film Festival of Dominican Republic.
In Octobre, the film will also be at the Chicago International Film Festival for its US premiere, and in competition at the Festival do Rio, before being released in Brazil by Pandora Filmes!

Barrage release in France and Luxembourg An exciting summer ahead for Barrage as it will hit cinemas all over France and Luxembourg on July 19th! In France, distribution is handled by Alfama Films.
And there are many more national premieres to come : in Romania at Transsilvania IFF in Sibiu (21-25.06), in Spain as closing film of Cinema Jove – Festival Internacional de Cine de Valencia (23.06-01.07), in Colombia at Bogota International Independent Cinema Festival (13-23.07) and, not to miss, in Poland at New Horizons IFF in Wroclaw (3-13.08).

More festivals for Barrage After its excellent reception at the Berlinale and a great Luxembourgish premiere within Luxfilmfest, Barrage will be in Competition at the Titanic International Film Festival in Budapest as well as at the Jeonju International Film Festival in South Korea. It will also be screened in the Festival’s Favourites section of the Vilnius International Film Festival and in Panorama at Bafici, Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival.
